STAMPtember® Heavy Metal

This month of STAMPtember® 2017 has moved so fast and it's my fourth and final week as guest designer. I really enjoyed this experience and want to thank Lols and all the design team for the opportunity and all the kind comments.

The theme for this week's challenge is "Heavy Metal"!
Picture
I chose to go as metallic as possible in a monochromatic colorway.

I started with embossing  “Chalice Silver” metallic paper with a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder “Gears” and then blended Distress Oxide “Black Soot” over the edges to bring out the detail. I mounted it on black chalkboard paper:
Picture
My next step was to die-cut a frame from Excalibur Steel” metallic paper with a  Sizzix Thinlits “Stitched Rectangles” die. I die cut a skyline using Sizzix Thinlits “Cityscape: Skylines” die and I applied this to the back of the frame. I then attached the frame and skyline to frame to a metallic scrap of paper from Annie’s Attic:
Picture
I mounted the chalkboard paper/embossed metallic paper to a pre-folded card and then used tape to attach my framed skyline to the card base:
Picture
I stamped two images from The Stampers Anonymous stamp set “Regions Beyond” (the skull and crossbones is my nod toward heavy metal music), fussy cut them and mounted them with foam dots to the frame. I then stamped a sentiment on a banner:
Picture
What started out as metallic ended up as Halloween --- sometimes, you have to just go where the card takes you!

Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoyed this card. ..please do check the inspirational projects of the Amazing Design Team!

Do enter your own interpretation of the theme "Heavy Metal"! A winner will be chosen from among the entries to receive a $50 voucher for shopping at Simon Says Stamp Store, so..now it's up to you! You have until Monday 8:00 am Ohio time, 1:00 pm UK time, 2:00 pm CET to join the fun!

It's been so much fun to have you join us! I really love all the different textures you incorporated into this card. And of course, you can't go wrong with a literary-based quote! Great work!
