The first day of the Spring Card Camp was a Jennifer McGuire tutorial on faux embossing folders. I wasn't 100% successful with this - partly due to choice of and card stock, but it did work. However, I'm not likely to be a frequent user of this technique!
Below is a card which used the embossed cardstock (green), tinted with a green ink to show the texture (very faint - look close!). I usd the same stamp that I made the "faux embossing folder" with to stamp the watercolored flowers which I fussy cut. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set:
