I thought I'd try out my new Distress Oxide inks and so I selected five colors that included two greens in the mix and started smooshing three colors at a time, and spritzing and heating (and repeating twice more) until I got a background I liked on a piece of mixed media heavy stock. I then used a blending tool and Distress Inks in two shades of green to edge corners of the piece:
- Stamps: Stamper’s Anonymous “Wildflowers” (CMS253) and “Mini Bouquet” (CMS269)
- Inks: Distress Oxides “Fossilized Amber”, “Spiced Marmalade”, “Iced Spruce”. “Cracked Pistachio” and “Peeled Paint”; Distress Inks “Bundled Sage” and “Forest Moss”; Wendi Vecchi Archival “Fern Green”
- Papers: Paper Studio Value Pack Notecards “Ivory”;, Tim Holtz “Distress Mixed Media Heavystock”; Scraps of Bazzill Forest Green and glittery gold
- Embelishments: Idea-ology “Small Talk” (TH95193)
- Adhesives: Viva Las Vegas “Miracle Tape”; Xyron 500 sticker maker
