More Than Words' mini-challenge (create a artist trading card, a postcard, a tag or a card) for March 2019 must include the word "Fancy". As usual, I went with an ATC, using a premed silver blank, a Picket Fence Stamp and a series of letter stickers: Products used in making this ATC were:
The More Than Words mini-challenge for February 2019 is to create a card, tag, postcard or ATC which displays the word "Luck". I layered green card on a gold ATC black, heat embossed the words "Good Luck" with gold embossing powder (and embellished with gold gel pen) and added Celtic stickers around the border (I was thinking St. Patrick's Day without shamrocks!): Products used in the making of this ATC were:
The mini-challenge from More Than Words for December 2018 is to include the word "merry" on a postcard, card, tag or ATC. Since I have several challenges to fulfill today, I decided to make a three-for-one and make a tag. The other challenges I am entering this tag in are Simon Says Stamp Monday for December 10, 2018 ("Warm Winter Wishes") and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday for December 12, 2018 ("Christmas"). I hope this tag works for all three as deadlines and the holidays to NOT cooperate! I started with a Graphic45 Staples Regular tag in Ivory and Need solar white cardstock. I die-cut the Neena with the Graphic 45 regular tag die and double embossed it using Versamark direct to paper and Lindy's Gang "Cuckoo Clock Cardinal" embossing powder. Once it was cooled, I used Stampers Anonymous "Swirly Snowflakes" stamps, Versamark, and gold and white embossing powders to create a wintery pattern on the red tag. I attached the embossed die-cut tag to the ivory tag, added an Idea-ology Quote Chip, and tied on three coordinating satin ribbons to complete the tag: This tag was inspired by a wall hanging made by Anna-Karin Evaldsson, although I used different inking techniques and more colors!

The mini-challenge for November 2018 over at More Than Words is to create a postcard, card, tag or ATC which features the word "Shine". I elected to go with an ATC and, using navy cardstaock, white embossing powder and glittery paper, I created this nativity scene: Products used in the making of this ATC:
The mini-challenge from More Than Words for August, 2018 is to create a card, postcard, tag or ATC that shows the word "Old"... I decided to paraphrase the poem "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple" by Jenny Joseph. I started by electing a purple (fish) ATC base and stamping a red hat on it using Versamark and red embossing powder: I added the phrase (leave out woman as I couldn't find a sticker for the word!) in stickers and black pen: But the hat was not well defined so I stamped again in Versamark on white, embossed with detail gold embossing powder, fussy cut, layered the cut piece onto the hat, and added some sequins: Truly, this red hat would NOT suit me!

The July 2018 Mini-Challenge at More Than Words is to make a small project (card, postcard, tag or ATC) which clearly displays the word "relax"! I decided to make an ATC and started by blending three Distress Oxide Inks over a white-embossed image of a flower on teh matte back of a blank playing card. After the ink was dried, I overstamped in a darker Archival Ink: I die-cut the word "relax" and coated it with silver Wink fo Stella for a little shimmer (which really doesn't show up well in this photo). I mounted the inked card on a silver back and added a dragonfly charm to finish the ATC: Products used in the making of this ATC were:
I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, July 30, 2018: Wild Things The May 2018 mini-challenge at More Than Words is to make a card, postcard, tag or ATC which features the word "Keep". In a way, I did three of these! First of all, I took two ACT blanks (one green, one brushed gold) and cut a tag from each. I die cut the wood "seek" from the green gard and layered the green over the gold, offsetting the two slightly (can't see it in this photo but it does show in the final one): I added a gold organza ribbon to the tag, die-cut the word adventure from metallic gold card; blended "Fossilized Amber" Distress Oxide Ink over a "SmallTalk" sticker, and layered them all on a patterned green notecard: Products used in the making of this card were:
The mini challenge for April 2018 at the More Than Words blog is to create a card, postcard, tag or ATC which displays the word "Wild"! I opted to make an ATC, using left-over die-cut flowers from a card I had just created for an earlier challenge and some Hampton Arts Stamps: Products used in the making of this card were:
The mini-challenge for February at More Than Words is to create a small piece (card, tag, atc or postcard) which displays the word "True". I decided to do a card for this one... I started with a background, where I did my variant on one demonstrated by Tracy Scott in the March 2018 issue of Craft Stamper (Issue 214 pages 6-9). While she used acrylic paints and her fingers, I used Distress Oxide inks and a mini-lending tool to create a multi-colored "master board" on the matte side of a scrap of glossy white card: I spritzed with water, blotted and heat dried: and overstamped a trimmed piece using Archival "Jet Black" ink: I mounted the finished background on a scrap of black card and then on a pre-folded white notecard: I stamped a butterfly in Archival "Jet Black" on white striped velum and die cut it, added color with Distress Markers, attached it to the card base and added a sentiment with the required word: Products used in the making of this card were:
