Hello everyone, I'm so excited and happy to be Guest Designer for the month of September at the SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE BLOG...It is an honor to be asked and I wish to thank Simon Says Stamp and Lols for this opportunity...we all know how talented the Artists of the Design Team are, and being among them, even if for a while, is beyond my wildest dreams!
This week's theme is Stamp It, and being as it is STAMPtember® we are showcasing Simon's Exclusives products...as always, it is not mandatory to use them to join the challenge. However if you do, the DT would be delighted to see how you use them in your projects!
For this project, I have chosen the new Simon Says Stamp stamp set "Live Well" and some Distress Oxide inks to create a card of encouragement.
My first step was to create a partial background by blending Distress Oxide Inks ("Faded Jeans", "Wilted Violet" and "Black Soot") onto a cut of Neena solar white cardstock:

I added a torn piece of "Midsummer Night's Dream" patterned paper from Scrapadashery to cover the white space:
I created a "rosette" using scraps of Bazzill purple and mulberry card, the word "YOU" from the stamp set (stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed with WOW! "Metallic Silver Super Fine" embossing powder), and a Sizzix thinlits label die:
I created a "banner" in silver with words (from the stamp set) embossed in black and a matte in the same silver, attached the card front to the pre-folded sparkle-silver notecard, and attached the rosette for my finished card:
