My first "create-it, take-it" (Friday, the 28th) was by Stephanie Barnard for Sizzix. She had this Framelits-Fold its die set which allows you to make a card which is side or top-folding, and what is more, the die has the necessary guidance etched on it! Great Idea! Here is the end result - from left to right: instruction sheet, card from and card interior!
The young lady at the neighboring table, who claimed not to be a crafter, and who was demonstrating for Chibitronics (I never thought to ask her name - sorry), asked if she could use the tossed version of the card to make one of her electrified pieces. Well, naturally, I was fascinated by these little Chibi LEDs and wanted to know how they worked, so I got my autograph from Laura and slid over to the Chibitronics table where I learned how to create a circuit in a card! How cool! Here is my little cupcake card from that "create-it, take-it" - with it lit up on the right (just press on the star!):
Oh, and Jennifer McGuire popped in while we were heating our chipboard pieces and demonstrated how Swiffer duster cloths totally controlled spills of glitter and embossing powder. Great tip!
Here is my card from that demo:
