The first variant was a simple pocket formed by cutting two inches from the top front of the card base, lining the inside with patterned paper, and attaching the front piece to the back (using Scor-Tape - the tutorial specified machine stitching but I really wasn’t in the mood to fuss with my machine after it went all tension-happy with me on the December Tag of the month) to form a pocket. I then decorated the front with die-cut trees from the Sizzix thinlits range by Tim Holtz. Here are the three cards I made in this theme:
Products used in making these three cards were:
- papers: s.e.i. 8.5 x 11 Cardmaker Paper Pack (“Holiday Traditions”); Darcie Self-Stick Glitter Paper; Paper Pizazz “Metallic Silver”
- Die: Sizzix Thinlits “Woodlands” (660978)
The second variant used a survey line to form the pocket (the tutorial suggested adding the cut-out piece to form a second pocket but I omitted this).
