My inspiration photo is one my husband took during our cruise around the islands of French Polynesia back in 2015. I THINK it is of the hotel we were set up in to pass the time between the docking of the ship and the departure of our flights home --- on Tahiti (my memory is fading as to which island was which!):
I started by blending several blue distress inks on Ranger water color paper, misting with water and then blotting to create feel of the the sea:
Next I "smooshed" some green Distress Inks on another scrap of water color paper:
- Dies: Sizzix Thinlits "Tropical" (661207) and "Vacation Words: Script" (661288)
- Inks: Distress Inks "Salty Ocean", "Mermaid Lagoon", "Broken China", "Tumbled Glass", "Bundled Sage", "Lucky Clover", "Cracked Pistachio", Mowed Lawn", "Twisted Citron", and "Pine Needles"
- Papers: Paper Studio Value Pack Notecards "ivory"; ranger Watercolor paper (ISW39532); scraps of green, olive, forest and brown card
- Adhesives: Viva Las Vegas "Miracle Tape"; Xyron 250 sticker maker; Distress Collage Medium
