The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for March 28, 2016 was "We Can See Clearly". The design team wanted us to "use acetate, vellum, or anything you can think of that is a little transparent" in making of projects for this challenge. Now, to be honest, I rarely use transparent materials in my cards or tags... with the exception of the occasional shaker card where there is an acetate window, that is. I have vellum, acetate, modeling film, frosted film, even acrylic in my stash but it never seems to get used. So what better time than a challenge to see if I can come up with something "clear" using some of these stash materials?
I decided I wanted to do something with modeling film and, while searching for my small stash of that product, I stumbled across some old Die Cut With a View Vellum Quote Stacks! Serendipity! Two "clear" products for the project!
First, I set about making a background by "smooching" Distress Inks and water on a piece of light tan card, cut to fit the front of my refolded white card. I matted the "smooched" result on a piece of pale turquoise card scrap and added some random tissue tape fragments to the edges:

Next, I trimmed and added a sentiment from the vellum stack:
Now that the card base is ready, I set about creating some embellishments using my new BIGZ die and Texture Fade set "Feather Duo". I smooched some alcohol ink on some Ranger Alcohol Ink card stock and die cut and embossed the feather duo from that card. I also stamped a scroll background with Archival "Jet Black" on some modeling film, die-cut and embossed that as well, heated and shaped the resultant feathers, and dripped the same alcohol inks randomly on the backs of the feathers. I mounted the card stock feathers with tape and the modeling film feathers with Glossy Accents:
After the addition of a few color-coordinated sequins, the card was finished:
