Normally, I would have been thinking patriotic, because the Independence Day celebration is coming up soon. But, as I was searching for the appropriate stamps and papers, I came across a scrap of striped card stock that was far from the usual red, with and blue - and there was also a coordinating dotted scrap!
Well, there is another challenge at the Simon Says Work It Wednesday blog that wants us to "Foil It" for June 2019!
"...create some shiny, foil goodness! Incorporate foil into your cards, mixed media projects, scrapbook pages and whatever else your crafty-heart desires – but please make sure that the foiled aspects are the main focus of your creations."
And the strips on that black and kraft card are the exact width of my double-sided tape!
So, to start, I foiled every other kraft stripe with gold foil by rubbing a sheet of the foil over he double sided tape:
- Inks: Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink “Dandelion” (TAL59424); Distress Marker “Black Soot”
- Papers: Graphic45 Regular Tag Album “ivory” (4501221); scraps of Canvas Corp “Black & Kraft Ribbon Stripe” (CCP2356) and “Black & Kraft Mini-Dot reverse” (CCP2346); The Paper Studio A2 notecard “ Kraft” (697227)
- Embelishments: WOW! Fab Foil “Gold” (W216-GLD01); Princess Cut Filigree; gold brad; Idea-ology “Mirrored Stars” (TH93083) and “Small Talk” (TH93193); Offray “Dancer Antique Gold” ribbon (C-685)
- Adhesives: iCraft “Easy Tear Tape”; GInaK “Connect” glue
