For this one, I decided to try a new approach, this time using a watercolor/smoosh technique over a white-embossed image.
I started by he embossing a floral image in white on water color paper . Then, I smooshed four Distress Oxide blues on my craft mat, spritzing with water, and drawing the embossed panel through the inks.There were several smooshes, each followed by drying with a heat gun and/or blot ting with a paper towel, repeating until the entire panel was covered with ink. I then used several different-sized brushes to add ink to shade the flowers. I added a green Distress Ink to the leaves, using a detail brush. Finally, I added more shading with InkTense pencils and water:
