"There are so many ways to add metallics to your projects, from embossing powders and pastes, metallic finish cards and foils, metallic inks and paints to metal embellishments. And you can leave them untreated for a touch of glamour or alter them for an aged or more grungy look. Show us how you like to use metals on your vintage or shabby chic projects."
I wanted to go all out in the metallic theme for this card and also to do some die-cutting.
I started by applying some foil tape (the metallic) to a cut of mixed media heavy stock and die-cutting with a Sizzix Thinlits die. I backed the die-cut area with glittery deco-sheet:
- Dies: Sizzix Thinlits “Festive Repeat” (664213), “Bat Crazy” (664203), and “Shadow Script - Halloween” (663093)
- Papers: Ranger Foil Tape Sheets (ISF30010); Distress Mixed Media Heavystock (TDA53842); Idea-ology “Deco Sheet - Halloween” (TH93314); ParkLane Paperie A2 notecard, "ivory" (15919590)
- Adhesives: Xtron 500 sticker maker; iCraft “Easy Tear Tape”
