12 Tags of 2016: June

The 12 Tags of 2016 tag for June is a remix of two 2015 tags: "Tissue Wrap Collage" from January 2015 and "Stencil Plaid" form June 2016. Tim changed these two techniques slightly by using "plain tissue wrap", stamped in Archival Ink, and glued to a "substrate sheet" with his new VIntage "Collage Medium Matte" for the collage technique and a variant of the colors used and "Fabric Surfaces" for the plaid technique. He also used a lot of the product from his new "Dapper" line of steps, dies and papers.

Now I was sure I had a roll of plain tissue wrap. Nope, can't find it! So I resorted to a pre-patterned tissue wrap: Composer", and followed his technique for creating a tag base on a half-sheet of white "Substrate Sheets".

I stuck with the same pad I used in 2015: a Custom Distress  pad created with "Barn Door", "Abandoned Coral" and "Spiced Marmalade". I used half a sheet of the white "Textile Surfaces":

Once dry, I stuck it on a medium white tag and trimmed it to fit:

Once my tissue wrapped tag was dry, I selected some dies. I don't have the Dapper series, and, to be honest, I wasn't in the mood for a "masculine" look", so I selected three of the butterfly dies from  the Alterations "French Flight" set.

I used a blending tool and "Barn Door" Distress Ink, followed by some spritzed water and a blotting of the tag with a towel, to add more color to the tag, I then selected a "Small Talk" sticker that fit the butterflies, stuck it on the tag and coated it with Distress "Collage Medium Matte" and added a drop shadow with a "Black Soot" Distress Marker:

It needed some bling so I altered a silver charm ("Bee Yourself") with a Distress Crayon and using pink thread and a dab of "Glossy Accents, adhered it to the tag. I also added some pearl stickers to the butterflies to create bodies:
