In this tag, Tim showcased one of his new products: the mini-layering stencils. While I have a great many stencils, all of mine are the full-sized ones and, since I use smaller tags than Tim, my techniques come out looking radically different. Still, I had the basic products this time (wonder how that happened? LOL) and set about creating a red-and-white Valentine tag using the two techniques.
First I created my base tag, smoothing a white tag in a watery solution of “Old Paper” and Picket Fence” Distress Paints
I colored three heirloom roses with “Watermelon” Alcohol Ink and blotted them dry. Using “Glossy Accents’< I attached the roses to the bottom right of the tag in a cluster, and finally, strung more of the twill ribbon through the hole in the tag:
- Stamps: Inkadinkado 96133-J
- Stencils: “Scribbles” (THS 036), “Arrows” (THS 025), and “Hearts” (THS 017)
