I ran into the same roadblock in June as I did for the May tag --- I didn't have all the items Tim used on his demonstration tag. Specificlaly, I didn't have the die set for the coffee cup. I DID have a coffee cup and thought I might make it work (see my post here) but it was too big for the usual size I use for the 12 Tags challenges. So I went in a slightly different direction...

I can truly see some wonderful sunsets coming out of this pad!
Next, I prepped the background of my tag using a spray bottle and the "Fossilized Amber" Distress Spray to get a mottled look. Then, Taking the "Stripes" layering stencil (THS 004), I inked the face of the stencil as instructed and used it to "mono-print" a plaid over the mottled background."

and disterssed with "Old Paper" Distress InkNow to embellish.
I did have a cup collar from that larger coffee cup, and the back of that collar would make a great strip of corrugated cardboard for trim, if I scaled it back a little. I attached the strip, a length of Darice Finishing Accents and a sentiment from a Taylored Expressions stamp set (Tea-rrific), stamped in Archival Jet Black and distressed with "Old Paper" Distress Ink::

and colored in the tea spPerfect! It makes me think of the tea shop in one of my favorite British televison programs ,"The Last of teh Summer Wine"!

Now all we need are Compo Simmonite, Norman Clegg and Foggy Dewhurst sitting around the table plotting a new misadventure over a cuppa, while Ivy, the cafe owner, does her best to keep them from scaring away other customers!
