First, I prepared an ombre DIY stamp pad using reinkers for ":Barn Door", Abandoned Coral" and "Spiced Marmalade:
Next, I prepped the background of my tag using a spray bottle and the "Fossilized Amber" Distress Spray to get a mottled look. Then, Taking the "Stripes" layering stencil (THS 004), I inked the face of the stencil as instructed and used it to "mono-print" a plaid over the mottled background."
I did have a cup collar from that larger coffee cup, and the back of that collar would make a great strip of corrugated cardboard for trim, if I scaled it back a little. I attached the strip, a length of Darice Finishing Accents and a sentiment from a Taylored Expressions stamp set (Tea-rrific), stamped in Archival Jet Black and distressed with "Old Paper" Distress Ink::
Now for the cups, of tea, of course! I used that same Taylored Expressions set of stamps and a single coordinating die. I stamped a stack of tea cups and a single tea-cup in Archival Jet Black, die-cut the stack, and fussy cut the single cup Then I colored in selected trims on the tea cups with Distress Markers ("Abandoned Color" and "Fossilized Amber") and colored in the tea spoon with a Marvy Uchida Liquid Silver pen:
