The assignment for the first week of the Summer of Creative Chemistry is to review Lessons 1 and 2 of Creative Chemistry 101 and to sum up what we’ve learned by “[creating] a tag, card, or other project using FOUR OR MORE COLORS OF DISTRESS INK. [We] can use any four Distress Ink colors and any technique from class.”
Well, Day 1 was a review of the characteristics and properties of Distress Products and had no technique demonstrations. Day 2, however, went into three uses of Distress Ink: “Blended Spritz and Flick”, Brushless Watercolor” and Winkle-FreeDistress” techniques. The tags I made when taking Creative Chemistry 101 are shown here, in that order:
- Stamps: Simon Says Stamp & Waffle Flower set "How We Roll" (SSS1011566)
- Inks: Distress Ink "Fossilized Amber", "Abandoned Coral", "Mermaid Lagoon" and "Cracked Pistachio"; Versamark; Archival "Jet Black"
- Embossing Powder: Top Boss "white"
- Papers: Inkssentials #8 manila tag
