Now I had just finished a card for another challenge which featured butterflies and the word fly so I didn't want to repeat myself. What else could support such a word? Dragonflies? Birds? Airplanes? None appealed to me. And then I thought of my stash of "flower fairy" stamps which I've never used because they are so detailed and so specific. But fairies fly, don't they?
Only one of my "flower fairy" stamps was size-suitable for an ATC-sized project: The Lavender Flower Fairy. So I stamped her in Archiva "Jet Black", fussy cut her away from all the lavender plants, colored her with Distress Markers and mounted her with foam dots to a purple ATC blank. A purple feather (cut to fit), a few sequins and an ideology sticker completed the ATC card:
- Stamps: Stampes Happen Inc #90021 ("Lavender Flower Fairy")
- Inks: Archival "Jet Black"; Distress Markers "Dusty Concord", "Shaded Lilac", "Fossilized Amber", "Spun Sugar"
- Embellishments: Zucker Feather Products "purple" (B710PU); rhinestones; Idea-ology CHitChat sticker "Smal Talk" (TH93193)
- Adhesives: EK Tools 3D Foam Dots; Glossy Accents
