While I have a set of stamps and even a stencil or two that would work for creating a plaid, I thought I'd check my paper stash first to see if I had any plaid patterned papers. Three drawers and a stack of 12 x 12 papers roughly two feet high later (all holdovers from when I was on a paper collecting kick...), I found exactly two sheets of 12 x 12 plaid paper! And one of those was more gingham than plaid. OK, I'll go with he survivor, even though the color palette it resulted in isn't really up my street!
I took three different papers from a Basic Gray collection, some Neena White card, a Hot Off The Press card blank, and two Sizzix die sets to create this background:
- Dies: Sizzix Thinlits "Handwritten Vacation" (661286), "detailed Butterflies" (661182), "Stitched Rectangles" (661189), and ""Mixed Media" (660220)
- Papers: Basic Gray Two Scoops collection "Strawberry Smoothie" (tsc1045), "Very Berry Sundae" (tsc1046), "Waffle Cone" (tsc1057) and "Mint Chocolate Chip" (tsc1057); Hot Off The Press Paper Flair Notecard "Ivory" (HOTP7402); scrap of Bazzill dark green card
- Adhesives: ScorTape; Byron 500 Sticker Maker
