First, I stamped a background on my refolded card using a Hero Arts background stamp, “Weathered Wood” Distress Ink (which looks to me like the second color on the palette) and my MISTI to position the stamps repeatedly (I did make an error in that once, that stamp was upside down. Didn’t catch that until I was ready to photograph the card! Oops!).
I stamped a set of complimentary daisy stamps from Hero arts on heavy card using Archival Inks in the three citrus colors on the left gf the palette, and I fussy cut these flowers and a few stems as well. I used Distress Markers to create drop shadows, to add a little dimension within the books, and to color the centers of the flowers and then I arranged the blooms in a “bouquet”, using collage glue:
- Stamps: Hero Arts “Four Bold Messages” (CL226() and “Thanks a Bunch” (complimentary)
- Inks: Archival” Vermillion”, “Chrome Yellow”, “Tangerine” and “Fern Green”; Distress Markers “Gathered Twigs”, “Tea Dye”, Peeled Paint”, “Pumice Stone”; Distress Ink “Weathered Wood”
- Papers: The Paper Studio Value Pack “white”, scrap heavy white card
- Adhesives: Ranger Collage Glue Stick
