Now masculine cards are among the hardest to make, in my opinion, especially since the man in my life isn't really into cards, farm equipment, sailing, skiing, tools etc. And these seem to be the stamps du jour for such cards. His preferred activities are gardening, photography and golf... and while I could easily do something floral, that doesn't feel very masculine to me. Sooo... I checked my stash for golf and camera-related stamps and found an old Stampin' Up! set called "On the Green".
Since he has a birthday coming up in two weeks, I decided to make a card for him. I stamped one of the images from the set in Archival "Jet Black" on Distress watercolor cardstock and colored it with Inktense pencils and a detail water brush. I trimmed and mounted the image on a Memory Box "Russian Sage" prefolded card base and stamped a sentiment from the set inside along with the words "Happy Birthday (my photo of the inside didn't come out...).
