Now, my Father has been dead since the early 1960s and my Father-in-Law died in the later 1960's; and we are not parents so I lack incentive for Father's Day cards. I can, however, make a masculine (or at least not feminine) card that could be sent to a guy (or a gal), depending on the occasion. So I searched for some gender-neutral stamps and set to work.
My first step was to stamp an image with Archival "Jet Black" and color it with InkTense pencils and a Tombow blending pen:
- Stamps: Stampin' Up! "Changing Seasons" (circa 2000) and Altenew "Bejeweled"
- Inks: Archival "Jet Black"; Distress Ink "Vintage Photo"; and InkTense Pencils "Cherry" (0500), "Tangerine" (103), "Apple Green" (114), "Leaf Green" (1600), "Madder Brown" (1920), "Deep Indigo" (1100), "Sun Yellow" (0200), "Ink Black" (2200), and "Baked Earth" (1800)
- Papers: Die Cut With A View Card Stack "Earth" (CM-012-00005) and Paper Reflections Postcards "Create Your Own" matte (CRD 051138)
- Embellishments: Hot Off the Press ""Autumn" Brad Pack (81134)
- Adhesives: Viva Las Vegas "Miracle Tape"
