The rules for both challenges can be found on the blog and the specific challenge for January can be found here where the specific word that must be visible on the project is “Be”.
I don’t scrapbook, rarely of canvases and never journal so the main monthly challenge is out for me. t I do make cards and occasionally tags; I haven’t done any ATCs is a while and it seemed to me that this challenge lends itself well to that format. So I determined that I could qualify for an entry in their mini-challenges. I searched out my ATC blanks and product which will fit that size and got stamping!
I found one stamp set that had a sentiment including the word “be”, which is the only requirement other than size required in this challenge. I felt like playing with color (an acidy green-yellow and a sea blue) and dimension on this ATC, something I normally couldn’t do if I had to send it through the mails.
I stamped the sentiment in Archival ink and used a blending too and the same ink to color the torn edge of a piece of Authentique paper. I also used Archival Ink to color the Prima frame, adding a touch of Distress Marker (“Salty Ocean” ) after the ink had dried. Another Distress Marker (“Squeezed Lemonade”) was used to color the petals of a Petaloo flower and touches of “Salty Ocean” were added to the pistals of the flower.
