- Stamps: Altenew “ Eid Greetings” and “Ramadan Greetings”
- Inks: distress Inks “Cracked Pistachio” and “Ground Espresso”, Distress Marker “Cracked Pistachio”
Yet another “Anything Goes” challenge for October 28, 2105 over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday. I had two stamp sets from Altenew that I wanted to try out and I decided to combine them to create a greeting card for our Saudi Arabian friends for the festival of Eid (it’s too late for this year - Eid al-Fitr was July 18 while Eid-al Adha was September 23 - but maybe next year?). I stamped an Arabic calligraphy stamp from the “Eid Greetings” set in “Cracked Pistachio” on ivory and added some visual interest with a mosque image from the “Ramadan Greetings” set. I also stamp two lantern in green from the “Ramadan Greetings” set. I mounted the card on green (a sacred color in Islam) and then again on an ivory pre-folded card.
