Altenew has posted a color/photo inspiration for November: I started with a background of leaves using the Altenew Layered Laurel stamp set and four green shades of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks on an ivory tag previously coated with white gesso: I stamped a layered anemone on Neena Solar White using three colors of red Crisp Dye Inks, "Pure Graphite" and a touch of "Parrot". I die cut with the coordinating die, fussy cut to remove excess white borders and attached it to the tag: Using a blending pad, I edged the card with "Moss" and stamped a sentiment in Pure Graphite. A sparkly "parrot" ribbon completed my tag. Products used in the making of tis tag were:

I made a clean-and-simple one-layer card using the layered leaves and some sentiments from the Altenew stamp set "With Gratitude" as well as several Alteneew Crisy Dye inks approximating th color palette: Products used in the making of this card were:
Altenew has issued a color inspiration for September 2018: I started with a tag from my stash, a tag that had already been prepped with gesso. Using a MISTI, I stamped eight different images from the Altnew stamp set "Floral Motifs" in Versamark, heat embossing with detail gold embossing powder between each stamping: I smooshed some Crisp Dye Inks on my craft surgface and, using a blending pen, painted in the images. I colored in some features using a gold marking pen as well: I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew stamp set "Bejeweled" in Versamark on metallic paper; heat embossed with detail gold embossing powder, trimmed the paper and matted with metallic gold card before attaching it to the tag. The final touches were two ribbons in the color palette: Products used in the making of this tag were:
the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, September 17, 2018: "It's A Wrap" and in the Stamptember Challenge for the Altenew Stampermber Exclusive stamp set. The Altenew Card Blog has issued their August 2018 Color Inspiration Challenge color palette: I started with a background by watercoloring with three Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in the color ranges suggested by the palette: I stamped, repeatedly, with two stamps from teh Altenew "Never Give UP!" stamp set, using Archival its in two shades of grey. I then stamped the sentiment (same stamp set) and a small bird (also same stamp set) in Archival Inks: I hose the Archival Ink colors as they, more than the Crisp Dye Inks I own, most closely approximate the intensity of blue and green of the suggested color palette.

I started out with watercolor paper and the "Birds of a Feather" stamp set with coordinating dies. I layered the birds in two shades of blue and two shades of grey. The texture on the paper made solid stamping nearly impossible but since it did look a little like feathers, I decided to let it stand: When it came time to die-cut the birds, I found that I had misread the layering instructions of the bird in the top left in the photo above, so I restamped after die-cutting (bottom right in the photo below --- he came out a LOT darker because of this!), and fussy cut around all three birds to remove excess white borders. I also die-cut three branches from grey card (one is shown below): I later added eyes with a black marker. I "smooshed" a white notecard through a puddle of light blue inks and water on my craft mat to get a "sky" background. I arranged my birds on branches and stamped a sentiment in dark blue ink: Products used in the making of this card were:
Altenew Card blog has published their inspiration color palette for June, 2018: I decided to match the palette with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink minis and create a background by smooshing a card face in these inks, layered on my work surface.I started with "Bamboo" and "Silver Stone", smeared on my glass mat and spritzed with water. I dried the card and added "Puffy Heart" to the work surface, misted the surface and smooshed again : I stamped some bamboo stalks and leaves (from the Altenew "Never Give Up" stamp set) in "Pure Graphite" and heat embossed a sentiment from the same set in gold: Products used in the making of this card were:
Altenew has issued a color palette for May on which to base challenge entries: I selected some Altenew Crisp Dye Inks that were close to those shown above and set about creating a floral card. I started with a background where I stamped a floral background stamp on watercolor paper, once in Archival "Jet Black" and once in Versamark, heat embossed with "Rose Gold" embossing powder. I trimmed the embossed image by fussy cutting around the edges of some of the flowers, giving me what amounts to a border strip: I misted both images with water and painted selected flowers in the embossed strip with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink "Rouge" and "smooshed" the "Jet Black" strip in watered downCrisp Dye Ink "Turquoise". I layered the strip onto the blue background and matted with a coordinating scrap of blue cardstock: I attached the floral images to a white card base and stamped a sentiment (from the Altenew "Painted Sentiments" set) in Versamark and embossed with "Rose Gold. I edged the sentiment strip with a gold marker and applied it to the card front: Products used in the making of this card were:
I'm also entering this in the WOW! May Challenge: Florals I got a surprise in the mail this past week --- a stamp from Altenew personalized for me! I couldn't wait to try ti out, but while the words on the stamp ('handcrafted by" and my name) clearly make this a way to sign my hand made cards, I thought that the roses made it perfect for a card that might accompany a handcrafted gift. I got our my MISTI and selectively inked the floral stamp with two colors of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: I chose the coral color to go with the cardstock I had selected. I used the new Graphic45 Regular Tag die to cut a tag from coral card and mounted it on an ivory Graphic 45 regular tag. I stamped the two word stamps in the same green as the floral leaves and added a crinkle ribbon that I had received free in a Funky Junkie order. I then attached the tag to a card base made from the same coral card: I matted the inked floral image in green and placed it between the two lines of text for my completed card: Products used in the making of this card were:
The color palette for the April 2018 Inspiration Challenge at the Altenew Blog is as follows: I elected to go more with the pinks, although I did use black, white and a small amount of purple in my card. Products used in the making of this card were:
The Altenew Card Blog has posted their inspiration palette and photo for February, 2018: I tried to match the color palette with the Altnew Inks I have. I started by stamping images from a floral stamp set several times, using masks, in Altenew "Ruby Red" Crisp Dye Ink on a scrap of white cardstock. I added some leaves from the same set in Crisp Dye Ink "Evergreen", again using masking. I added the sentiment from the same set using Crisp Dye Ink "Grapevine". I mounted the pen on a burgundy card, trimmed to fit: It looked a little "stark" to me so I added some tinting using Crisp Dye Inks, a little spritz of water and a paint brush: Products used in the making of this card were:
